With a deep love for storytelling and a background rooted in both writing and visual art, I created Koi Editorial Studio to help authors bring their stories into the world with the same care, intention, and artistry that went into creating them.

From developing a story and refining a manuscript to working alongside editors, designers, and other publishing professionals. My academic background bridges both of my creative disciplines. I hold a BFA in Art and Design with an Emphasis in Digital Art, along with a minor in Studio Art, and I am currently pursuing my MFA in Creative Writing. This combination of visual arts and creative writing has shaped the way I approach storytelling—as both a written and visual experience.
My approach to editing is grounded in a love of story. I look beyond grammar and individual sentences to consider the elements that make fiction compelling: character development, pacing, plot structure, narrative cohesion, worldbuilding, and the emotional journey of the reader. I believe editing should strengthen an author’s voice rather than replace it.
Beyond editorial work, I bring my background as an artist and designer into the creative process. Through custom book cover art and Showit web design, I help authors create a visual identity that feels authentic to their stories and cohesive across their author presence.

About
As both a writer and an artist, I realized I wanted to save other authors from the headache of herding freelancers and navigating multiple platforms. I wanted to create a more cohesive experience—bringing my passion for editing, illustrative book cover art, and Showit web design together to help authors take their next step into the publishing world with confidence.
My story
